Groundwork — the system your company runs on.
Everyone’s deep in the work your company does. No one has time to build the system it runs on.
In one quarter, Groundwork installs an operating system for your business —
Built with your team, not handed to them. Documented, trained, and integrated into your business.
The work always gets done. The business never gets worked on.
You can see the growth in front of you. You also know the company is nowhere near organized enough to go get it.
Everyone’s wearing three hats and putting out fires. The leadership team is too deep in the weeds to actually lead. You’ve tried meetings — priorities on Monday, check-ins on Friday — and nothing sticks; everyone goes straight back to the projects and the two hundred emails. Some numbers get tracked, sometimes; nobody’s sure they’re the right ones. The vision is real, but it lives in your head and a few conversations.
It’s not a lack of talent or effort. It’s the gap almost every owner-led company has: there’s no system for running the business itself. So you run it blind — deciding on instinct and last month’s numbers, hoping everyone’s aimed at the same thing.
“We’re like my five-year-old’s soccer team — everyone chasing the ball.”
Built with you. Not assigned to you.
I build your operating system and help you install it with your team in 3 months. Once it’s integrated, my work is done.
That’s not the typical management consulting experience. The usual shape is an expert who studies your business, teaches you a framework, and hands back a set of recommendations to go execute — with a standing engagement to check on how it’s going. The thinking is usually good. The execution gets left to the people who were already too busy to execute it.
Four places where I’m built differently.
The tools get built in the room. Not assigned as homework.
I build the tools with you, in the sessions: the seat-by-seat work of who owns what; finding the numbers that actually predict your business, and where they’d even come from; the weekly meeting run live until your own facilitator has it.
Support hours during the week.
That’s where the between-session work actually gets done. The alternative is handing your team the build — map who owns what, find your numbers, write the vision — as work to do between visits, on top of the jobs they already can’t keep up with. That’s always the first thing to slip.
It’s designed to integrate.
Installed in one quarter, and then you decide — Graduate, Continue, Bridge. By week six we start assessing whether your team is ready to own the systems. If not, keep me on for a full implementation — or I coach your facilitator and keep running your meetings while your person grows into the role.
The machinery comes with it.
A system needs machinery around it or it doesn’t hold. I build it with you and it’s yours: process documentation, hiring systems, compensation plans, KPI frameworks — customized to your company, not pulled off a template shelf. Most outside help teaches the framework and refers you out for the rest.
By the end of the quarter it isn’t my system running your company. It’s yours.
One quarter, end to end.
Build the core tools with your leadership team in three weeks. Run your weekly meeting together for eight. Close with your first quarterly session. Then decide to Graduate, Continue, or Bridge.

If your company has outgrown how it’s run, let’s talk. Fifteen minutes, no pitch — you tell me what’s happening, I’ll tell you honestly whether this is a fit.
